The client and caregiver support groups are offered by staff of the Latino Geriatric Center. Each session addresses a different topic related to the specific needs of both the clients and caregivers.
These groups provide caregivers with an opportunity to take a break from their responsibilities and spend time with other individuals who understand their concerns, fears and unique lifestyle. The safe and inviting atmosphere of the support groups encourages discussion among caregivers. Caregivers also receive useful resources and information to aid in the caregiving process.
In addition to caregiver support, the groups allow clients to share and learn with one another, encouraging interaction and socialization.
Second Thursday of Each Month, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
(A light snack is served)
The support groups are conducted in Spanish and are completely FREE.
Childcare is provided.
