Because it is never too early to learn and follow sound financial practices, high-school students in good academic standing have the opportunity to participate in the Latinos Investing in Financial Education (LIFE) workshop series. The program educates students about saving, investing, and spending money as well as financing a college education and pursuing various career tracks in business.
Students participating in the LIFE program develop a personal financial plan that includes short and long-term goals, including college and career plans and the financial strategies that will help their plans to fruition. The LIFE program also incorporates resources from Junior Achievement and the National Endowment for Finance Education (NEFE) curriculum.
Business and finance professionals are invited as guest speakers and can volunteer for workshops by contacting our UCC Community Relations Coordinator.
