Current Projects

Below is a list of projects that are currently taking place at UCC: 

 

Healthier Activities Partnership Program for Youth (HAPPY II) (2013-2016)
A program and research study targeting the health behaviors of Latino middle-school aged children.
 

Pisando Fuerte (2014-2015)
The goal of this project is to adapt an evidence-based falls prevention program for Latino seniors.

 

ADHD Treatment for Latino Families (2015-2016)
The Health Research Department will provide ADHD treatment in Spanish for Latino families in collaboration with Alyson Gerdes Ph.D from Marquette University.  This treatment is offered in the fall and spring school semester.

 

Teleophthalmology to Improve Eye Health among Latinos (TIEHL)
The goal of this project is to preserve vision in a high-risk population by implementing teleophthalmology to increase retinopathy screening and facilitate improved eye care.
