With 43 years of service, the United Community Center has created a strong foundation, built with significant support from a wide range of community members and the hard work or committed staff and families. We all know that a strong foundation is crucial to any building endeavor.
As we look ahead, we are excited to build upon the groundwork laid over the past 43 years to ensure our agency will continue to succeed. This year, we will launch an $8 million capital campaign to grow our school. This will allow us to welcome more families to take advantage of the academic rigor and comprehensive educational environment of Bruce-Guadalupe Community School (BGCS).
The school expansion will allow up to 600 more students to join BGCS. These students will have an educational foundation created to ensure their academic journeys lead to success in higher education.
As you can read in our May – August 2013 Newsletter, exciting things are happening all over the campus with the help of many partners, collaborators, volunteers, and dedicated staff. Thank you to everyone who has supported our journey, and we welcome all of you and hopefully many more to join us as we embark on this new mission to ensure our students succeed!
