UCC Acosta Middle School

Welcome to UCC Acosta Middle School

UCC Acosta Middle School is a nonprofit technology and skilled-trades focused charter school with an environment that fosters high expectations, hard work, and strong parental involvement that will lead all students to rigorous high schools and colleges and equip them with skills to be competitive in dynamic future job markets.

A few of the components of this new exciting school include:

  • Focus on technology (engineering, Lego leagues, computer coding/programming, etc.) and trades (carpentry, electrical, etc.)
  • Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering Curriculum
  • Blended Learning* methods (“pods”/station and rotation/flipped classrooms): Partial delivery of content/instruction via digital and online media. Project-based learning where students explore real-world challenges and acquire depth of knowledge
  • Genius Hour: students follow their passions and learn about topics that interest them.

*Blended learning is a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through online delivery of content and instruction with some element of student control over time, place, path, and/or pace and at least in part at a supervised brick-and-mortar location away from home.

  • Most recent report card or progress report for the 2018-19 academic school year
  • The final report card for the previous academic school year, demonstrating complete grades for all four quarters
  • Complete and submit the application form

Attend an informational meeting.

Once all paperwork is received, you will be called to set up an appointment. All 6th grade applications received before January will be called to set up an appointment immediately.

Our CampusExterior of Acosta Middle School

The main entrance of UCC Acosta Middle School is located at 1038 S. 6th Street in Milwaukee-- on the near south side next to Walker Square Park, just a few blocks south of National Avenue.

Parking Regulations

The City of Milwaukee cleans the streets in the area around UCC on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month from April through November. Check out the affected areas before you come to our campus so you don't get ticketed or towed.
