One Life. One Family. One Community.
The United Community Center is proud to celebrate 35 years of providing quality programs and making a difference in the lives of youth, seniors and families. After 35 years we have learned a lot. Most importantly we know that actions speak louder than words and that our results speak for themselves. The measure of our success lies in the contributions that thousands of individuals and families continue to provide towards the growth and well being of this community.
We are steadfast in our mission to ensure students of this community are equipped and prepared to attend the best high schools and most academically challenging colleges. Our supportive programs for the entire family provide an environment to nurture these youth, fostering their ability to succeed in the future.
With growing support from the donor community, we will be able to sustain and enhance our programs. This past year we were honored by the Non-Profit Management Fund for Fiscal Integrity and Accountability. We are proud to be stewards of many contributions and support from a variety of individuals, organizations, and foundations. We take this investment seriously, and will see that an investment in this community is an investment in the future of our city. Successful students, active and healthy adults, and strong families create vibrant, dynamic, and prosperous communities, something from which everyone can benefit.
As we look ahead, we will continue to focus on the individuals we serve, work to understand and support the entire family, and help ensure that together we can improve the community where we all live, work and play.
This will happen ever day and starts with one person, many families, together forming one community. This will happen as we prepare each student for a successful academic career. This will happen as we help each senior to be active, healthy and independent. This will happen with every one of the more than 20,000 participants we serve each year. We will continue to change the future of this community-one life at a time!
