In addition to exposing people to the cuisine of the Latino community, Café el Sol also entertains its patrons with traditional Latin music by bringing in local and regional musicians to perform a variety of Latin music on Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The live Latin music is known as "La Peña" which is named for an old Spanish tradition among travelers to gather around bonfires to share their experiences through music, dance, and stories.
Mexican and Puerto Rican Food With Flair
Café el Sol, located in the heart of Milwaukee's Hispanic community within the United Community Center, specializes in both Mexican and Puerto Rican cuisine—adding some flair to your next breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
A highlight is the special Latin-style fish dinner buffet on Friday nights, complete with live Latin entertainment from 6:30–8:30 p.m.—definitely not your ordinary fish fry.
The unique and very popular Friday evening fish dinner buffet offers both broiled and fried fish with a variety of Latin cuisine. Reservations highly suggested!
