A highlight is the special Latin-style fish dinner buffet on Friday nights, complete with live Latin entertainment from 6:30–8:30 p.m.—definitely not your ordinary fish fry.

In addition to exposing people to the cuisine of the Latino community, Café el Sol also entertains its patrons with traditional Latin music by bringing in local and regional musicians to perform a variety of Latin music on Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The live Latin music is known as "La Peña" which is named for an old Spanish tradition among travelers to gather around bonfires to share their experiences through music, dance, and stories.
