Mara Lovo, Director of Human Services
Mara Lovo has served as the Director of Human Services since 2021. Before entering as director, she worked as a Financial Analyst for UCC. Though she has only been part of the UCC staff for the last 6 years, Mara has been involved as a parent and volunteer since 2002.
Mara has 13 years of experience working in social services in different areas including the Southside, Northside of Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha County. Some of those experiences involve working with refugees, FSET program, Emergency Assistance, W-2 Program as a case manager.
She also enjoyed working with the community as a GED instructor for several years, in the Milwaukee and Racine area. Mara not only helped students to obtain their GED, she also led them and motivated them to enroll for college and continue on a career path.
On a personal level Mara enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She also enjoys art, music, painting, crochet, etc. Mara loves traveling and attending live concerts.
