Zecilia Alamillo-Roman, Director of Youth & Pre-College Programs

As Director of Youth and Pre-College Programs at the United Community Center, Zecilia Alamillo-Roman oversees programming for over 1,000 middle school, high school, and college aged students. Zeci graduated from Mount Mary University in May 2017, where she studied Political Science and Psychology and received a Certificate in Peacebuilding. She completed her graduate coursework for the Public Service – Nonprofit Administration program at Marquette University in May 2020.

Zeci values self-reflection, leadership development, and mentorship. As a growing professional, she has had many official and unofficial mentors that impacted her educational and career journeys, and aspires to be just that for others. Zeci has enjoyed working with different demographics in a variety of public service and education sectors since 2013. She began her work at the United Community Center in the Summer of 2018 and has since worked in developing a more efficient program approach while establishing long-lasting connections with
her students.

In her free time, she likes to spend time with her niece and nephew, learn new crafting
strategies, and check out hiking spots with her beagle, Winston. Zeci looks forward to continuing
her work with the Milwaukee community and seeing the youth she works with grow up to
become contributing members of the city.
